1. Overview

The "Shopee Stats by J2TEAM" extension ("Extension") is built with a privacy-first approach. The Extension has no backend server, collects no data, and all information is processed entirely on your device.

2. Data We Access

When you perform an order scan, the Extension reads the following information from Shopee's API using your existing login session:

• Order IDs, order status, and creation timestamps.
• Order totals and payment details (discounts, free shipping savings).
• Product names, prices, quantities, and shop names.
• Your Shopee display name (shown in statistics).

3. How Data Is Stored

All order data is stored in IndexedDB — a database built into your browser. This data:

• Exists only on your device.
• Is never sent to any server.
• Is not shared with any third party.
• Can only be accessed by the Extension on your browser.

4. What We Do NOT Collect

The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers. Specifically:

• No analytics — No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no analytics services of any kind.
• No tracking cookies — The Extension does not create or read cookies for tracking purposes.
• No tracking pixels — No tracking pixels or beacons of any kind.
• No data collection server — The Extension has no backend, no proprietary API, no cloud database.
• No advertisements — No ad networks or ad SDKs.

5. Permissions Explained

Here is why each permission is required:

• activeTab — Required to inject the content script into Shopee pages, allowing the Extension to communicate with Shopee's API through your login session.
• sidePanel — Allows displaying the statistics interface in Chrome's Side Panel instead of a small popup.
• storage — Saves user preferences such as monthly budget, theme (light/dark), and language.
• notifications — Sends notifications when scanning completes or when spending exceeds budget.
• Host permission (shopee.vn) — Restricts the Extension to only work on shopee.vn and its subdomains. No other websites are accessed.

6. Data Export and Sharing

The Extension provides data export (JSON/CSV) and statistics image sharing features. These features:

• Are only activated when you explicitly initiate them.
• Data is generated and downloaded directly on your device.
• Statistics images are rendered locally using HTML Canvas, without any server involvement.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all Extension data at any time by:

• Clearing Extension data in your browser settings (chrome://extensions).
• Uninstalling the Extension — all data is automatically removed.

8. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party services. No CDN, no external APIs (other than Shopee), no cloud services are connected.

9. Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13. However, since the Extension does not collect any data, there are no privacy risks related to children.

10. Policy Changes

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
